The Board of Directors of Cocoa Processing Company
Limited has appointed Mr. Charles Debrah Asante as
Managing Director of the Company with effect from 1st
He replaces Mr. Richard Amarh Tetteh who
retired after attaining the compulsory retiring age.
Mr. Asante has worked with the Company for the past 31
years. He joined the Company as a Chemist in November
1981. Until his appointment as the substantive Managing
Director, he was the Acting Managing Director.
previously the Deputy Managing Director (Operations),
General Manager (Confectionery), Production Manager
(Confectionery) and Quality Assurance Manager.
Mr. Asante holds a M.Sc. in Food Science and Microbiology
from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in Scotland and
a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He
has also attended the Strategic Management Course,
Senior Management Development Programme and the
Chief Executives’ Programme at GIMPA and other training
programmes outside the country.
